Jes Winfield is a versatile artist specializing in acrylic paintings, mixed media works, and drawings. Her artistic journey began in 2022, during a period of personal struggle and depression. Reflecting on her past, she recalled a pivotal moment in 12th grade when her art teacher encouraged her to paint a sunset on a seashell—a memory that sparked her passion for painting.
Although her artistic endeavors were put on hold after that initial experience due to changing circumstances, Jes found solace in painting once again during her bout of depression. With a newfound determination, she picked up her paintbrush and discovered a natural talent for drawing as well.
Drawing from her background as a former professional lighting designer for theater, Jes brings a unique perspective to her art, incorporating a deep understanding and love of color into her work. This fusion of drawing, painting, and theatrical expertise has led her to develop a distinctive style that captivates viewers.
Jes finds immense joy and fulfillment in the creative outlet that art provides, allowing her to express herself freely and share her unique artistic visions with the world.
